Bobby gave a sharp question, straight to the point. This was to see if Yellow was willing to lie, he has been given the chance to tell the truth.

Yellow mentions an "Inner Circle"... The presence of a separate secret group among the Paragons. In the evidence that has been found,
Bobby remembered there was at least 10 accomplices which are likely to be of that group.
Yellow would still exert hate upon victims but would choose his words. Specific words are not the issue, it's the context.
Red also behaved very supportive of Yellow's actions, which caught Bobby slightly off guard.
